Miércoles 16 de junio y visitamos Ponta do Garajau. El motivo principal de nuestra visita fue ver la gran estatua de Christo Rei. Nos sorprendió gratamente descubrir que había más para ver y hacer aquí además de la estatua. Justo al lado de la Estatua, bajando un montón de escalones se llega al Mirador, Miradouro do Garajau.

Wunderschöne Aussicht. Jan. 2021. Ich bin von meinem Hotel in Canico de Baixo zum Ponta do Garajau gelaufen. Es geht zwar ziemlich bergauf, somit nicht ungedingt an einem heißen Sonnentag zu empfehlen, aber die Mühe absolut wert. Die Christus Statue ist wirklich schön. Sehr schöner Ausblick auf Funchal und Richtung Canico die Felsküste.
